HOW TO SEED AND CREATE A DRAW
- When seeding or creating a draw, we generally recommend you wait until the Late Withdrawal date has passed: otherwise, you’re likely to have a lot of adjustments to make due to players making last-day withdrawals.
- To Seed and Create a Draw:
- First, go to your tournament home page, and click “Switch to Admin View”
- Click the drop down arrow of any division under the entrants tab, and click “Manage” at the bottom of the listed entrants.
- This will take you to the SSM version (the old version) of the US Squash page. On this page, you will be able to seed and create the draws.
- Before continuing, make sure that all Withdrawals have been processed (to do so, see “How to Process Withdrawals” below). Also, make sure all waitlisted players are admitted to divisions not at capacity.
- Once these steps are completed, you’re ready to seed your draw. First, click “Calculate” next to “Calculate Seeding Points”.
- Then, go to the “Sort by” menu and click “Seeding Points”.
- Next, choose the draw type. For division sizes of 8 or 10+, choose “Full Feed-In Consolation”. For divisions of 6, 7 or 9, chose “Round Robin Playoff”. For divisions of 4 or 5, choose “Round Robin”.
- Make sure that “¾ Playoff” is checked, and that “Plate is set to “One Draw, 4 Players”, as shown above. If applicable, make sure “Classic Plate” is checked as well.
- Now, next to “Seeding”, click “Randomize”. The system will auto-randomize the players based on their seeding groups. (you can verify that randomization has occurred by seeding that the Seeds next to the players’ names are not in exact numerical order).
- Once you have randomized the draw, scroll to the bottom to the page, and click “Save and Create Draw.”
- Finally, on the new page, click “Save Draw”.
NOTE: If there is a withdrawal from a draw after the draw has been created and input into the court schedule, you can update the draw without redoing everything by clicking “Update Draw Seeds” next to the button in Step 10.
HOW TO PROCESS WITHDRAWALS:
- To see withdrawal requests, click “Information” in the top right.
- Then, click “Administration” in the top right.
- Finally, click “Withdraw/Change Division Requests”. This will take you to the Withdrawal Requests page.
- To process a request, choose from the menu under “Process” of the withdrawal you wish to process, and click Submit.
